A step forward

One of Pollers' recent advancements is the adoption of cobot technology to enhance their welding capabilities. Following a compelling demonstration at a trade fair, Pollers decided to pursue the partnership. A workshop was quickly organized on-site, allowing their welders to test the cobot with their own products. The results were clear—WeCobot could meet all of Pollers' needs. Within two weeks of the workshop, the cobot was fully operational in Pollers’ workshop. "You set up the cobot, and you're ready to go."

Given the wide range of (large) parts they handle, a traditional robot wasn’t an option. Beyond its flexibility, Toby notes that the cobot is much easier to program than traditional robots. He even trained his colleagues, enabling all welders at Pollers to work with the cobot.

The introduction of the cobot has streamlined production processes and had a positive impact on the work environment. The team realized that skilled workers would never lose their jobs due to cobot implementation, as someone is always needed to assemble and finish the parts. "New employees are drawn to the modern technology we use," Fabio adds.
